since the 300zx twin turbo and the hardbody share the same motor is it possible to put twin turbos on a hardbody?

sure, but it would be much easier and less expensive to just drop in the 300zx turbo motor rather than try and upgrade your 3.0 motor to twin turbo. just be sure to change over the computers and probably the wiring harness. Oh and the fuel system on the 300z probably is designed to flow much more fuel so that may be a consideration as well.
